Student registration is now CLOSED for the 2018 Southern Tier Scholastic Science Fair.
As usual, we look forward to seeing all 2018 student registrants on Saturday March 17th!
For group projects, each student who is participating must complete the online registration form individually and submit their own receipt page with the $15 registration fee.
Junior Division Students (Grades 5 – 8) Please submit a one-page Project Summary (abstract) by the due date as part of your online registration. You can cut and paste the summary into the box on the registration form. You should also bring a copy of the summary to the fair. The project summary must include the following information: Project Title, Name of Student, Name of School, Grade, Category & Level. Summarize your principal hypothesis, methods and materials, and conclusions.
Senior Division Students (Grades 9 – 12) Please submit a Project Report by the due date with your online registration. You can upload your report with your online registration. There is also a place for you to cut and paste your Project Summary (abstract) on the form. You should also bring a copy of your report to the fair. The fee should be mailed. Pages should be numbered sequentially using Arabic numerals. Proper credit must be given where others’ work is used or referred to. The project report should contain a Title Page (including project title, your name, school, and grade, a Hypothesis or Statement of Purpose, a Procedure (including list of materials), a Discussion/Conclusions/Applications (including supporting data, tables, graphs, pictures, and/or other documentation), and a References/Bibliography (If your report is too big to attach, you can email it with your name and project title in the subject line to: STSSFatBCC@gmail.com.)
